Specialist wound care to help rebuild the lives of those injured in conflict

Woundcare4Heroes aims to support and enhance our NHS in fulfilling complex wound management needs for veterans of our armed services who have been traumatically injured.

We raise awareness amongst the veteran community of the support available via a single point of contact; we provide education and clinical support for healthcare practitioners, veterans' families and carers; and we help veterans to access rapid referral to the right person, in the right place, at the right time.
Woundcare4Heroes was co-founded by Claire Stephens and Professor Lieutenant Colonel Steve Jeffery.
Woundcare4Heroes was launched on 14 June 2012 to develop a national network of complex wound management services to support the NHS in providing lifelong support and care for those discharged from the Armed Forces.
