Enjoy a day of live music with a glass of your favourite beer or cider at ‘Bands at the Broom’ festival at a popular Warwickshire pub this bank holiday weekend – and raise money for Woundcare4Heroes.
The Broom Hall Inn, which sits in the village of Broom, near Bidford-on-Avon, is hosting the annual music, beer and cider festival on Sunday May 26 between 2pm and 11pm.
The line-up of local bands includes: Lauren Hyde, Wynchwood Folk Rock, Fearless Scoundrels, Highlite, Sugar Mama, The Staving Dogs and KTO.
John “Hoppy” Hopkins, who organised the music, said: “The bands are a mixture of all styles of music – folk rock, blues, pop and rock – modern to the older stuff. We try to get as much of a mix as we can.” He paid tribute to landlords Sharon and David Carvell for staging the event.
In addition to live music, family attractions include a bouncy castle, games and barbeque. Entry fee is £5 on the door with free admission for children under 10. Money raised will be split between Woundcare4Heroes, the UK’s only specialist charity for veteran wound care and Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
