Meet some of our wonderful fundraisers!
Colette Longstaffe ran the London marathon in 3.51 which was amazing and with 5 weeks off in the middle of training!
She has managed to raise over £600 for wound care 4 heroes. If you want to check out her just giving page go to: https://www.justgiving.com/Colette-Longstaffe3.
"Hopefully the money raised will be enough to make a difference to someone. I am running Berlin in September aswell so shall keep the fundraising page going for that too".
Thank you for all your support around our first challenge of the year for Woundcare 4 Heroes which took place on Thursday and Friday of last week. The team including Simon Barrett TVN East Riding, Brenda King TVN Sheffield our own Rob Parker! and 3 Lead Nurses from Humber cycled approx 200 miles over 48hours after a woundcare conference that was held on Thursday. Big thanks to Rob Parker who took part in the cycle ride for Urgo and Justin for supporting the event.
Biomonde have raised almost £3000 to support Woundcare4Heroes, through an organised ride and a family fun day. We are extremely grateful for their support!
Coloplast raised over £1500 from their own ice bucket challenge!
SL Aidburn and Hudder Valley Girl Guides made and sold poppies to raise money for Woundcare4Heroes.
They raised £162!
Gareth Kempson (left) and Kris Flinn (right) will be riding from the Army & Navy Club in London to the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre in Llantrisant in just one day, which is over 160 miles!
They are great believers in the work that Woundcare4Heroes are doing and as employees of BioMonde (manufactures of Larval Debridement Therapy products) they understand the impact what chronic wounds can have on patient quality of life.
They are already well underway in their training and both are putting good shifts in at various places around the World based on where they are with work commitments at the time.
